"the Jet" Lands At Borderline

Victorian Sprintcar driver Brett "the jet" Milburn has taken out Round 2 of the Eureka Garages and Sheds SRA series. Rain hampered the start of the meeting and the fans who stuck around witnessed high class action on a billiard table smooth fast track. 2nd was current leader Mike Van Bremen and rounding out the podium places was the V70 car of John Vogels.Pole sitter Eddie Lumbar who had one of his best nights finished back around 6th place. A large field of AWS was also on hand to have a crack at gaining points for their series.Mason Merritt lasted the distance after a race long battle with Steve Trigg and current Australian champion Rory Button rounding out the top 3. The junior sedans were out in force for the out n about series in what was a great duell for the whole race with lapped traffic ensuing a great spectacle for the crowd as the top 6 cars weaved and dodged their way to the chequered flag.1st across the line was Ty Galley followed by Seymour driver Michael Gorman and 11 Nick Cockerill. Street Stocks had a round of the Tri series with 2 fields of combatants.Anthony Beare after a mixed night prevailed when it mattered to cross the line 1st ahead of Sam Brumfield and Shane Roycroft. Rounding out a huge night of over 40 events was the AMCA'S for the Scotcher Fuels and Oils series with all SA cars and 1 lone Victorian doing battle. Brian Chadwick in the immaculate 41 took the race win ahead of Michael Ffrench and race long leader Maris Valodze being pipped at the line by the only Victorian entrant Stewart Grant-Campbell. Borderline will now go in to recess until the Xmas period when WSS sprintcars visit for Round 3 of the Speedweek leg on Dec 28th
