Wingless Sprints Set To Invade Borderline

This weekend sees Australias best Wingless sprint drivers converge on Borderline Speedway as they battle for the right to hold down Australia 1. Current title holder Rory Button,heads the 63 strong entry list and will relish the chance to defend his crown on his own turf. A strong contingent from Victoria has entered as well as NSW QLD and WA. Button will not find his task easy with SA 1 Todd Wigzell in form fresh from winning the state title here last month.Jeff Judd, Andy Hibbett and Brad Warren will be some of the strongest competitors from the Garden state.NSW competitors will be competing in their first national title since becoming amalgamated and Mikaela Dumesny daughter of sprintcar legend Max Dumesny,will be out to prove that racing is in the family's blood after a recent good showing at Premier Speedway Warrnambool. 4 cars will make the trek south from Queensland and 1 lone sand groper will make the trek across the nullabour.Friday night will see practice from 4 30 til 8.00 followed by a calcutta and heat draws. Saturday night will see the heats and supported by the S.A Limited sportsman title juniors and classics will round out a huge night of racing. Sunday night will see the final juniors and classics.Racing on both nights will start at 6.00 with gates open at 5.00 to the public. Prices for both nights will be Adults $25.00 Concession $20.00 Student 12-16 years $10.00 with kids under 12 free. So be sure to get your fill of speedway action this weekend as the Wingless Sprints try for the coverted Australia 1
